A 5-day Shanghai fitting timeline for travelers

If you are in Shanghai for less than a week, plan a two fitting schedule that keeps the suit on track without rushing the finish.

Before you arrive

Send a few reference photos and your travel dates so the atelier can block time for fittings.

If you already own a suit you like, bring it to help define shoulder shape and jacket length.

Day 1: consultation and measurements

Expect a full consultation covering fabric weight, silhouette, and how the suit will be used.

A proper measurement session usually takes 30 to 45 minutes and includes posture notes.

Day 3: first fitting

The first fitting checks balance, drape, and sleeve pitch so the final garment sits cleanly.

Travel tip: schedule this appointment early in the day so the workshop has time to refine.

Day 5: final delivery

The final fitting is usually quick and focuses on finishing details and comfort.

Ask for care guidance and confirm whether shipping is needed for future alterations.

If you have less time

For 3 to 4 day trips, plan a single fitting and finish after you return to Shanghai.

  • Pick fabric and confirm measurements before travel.
  • Prioritize jackets and trousers first, then add shirts later.
